Datti Baba-Ahmed has done nothing wrong, LP chieftain absolves party’s Vice Presidential candidate

Director of Contact and Mobilisation in the Diaspora of the Labour Party (LP), Chief Patrick Osagie Eholor, has warned that the Vice Presidential candidate of the party in the 2023 Polls should not be intimidated or harassed because of his comments concerning the outcome of the INEC pronouncement on the February 25th poll.

“These people have threatened Yusuf Datti Baba Ahmed for his comment. That he made some inflammatory statement forgetting that Yemi Osinbajo, who is now the Vice President, made a similar statement when he was asked if there won’t be anarchy if the court ruling in favour of Muhammadu Buhari is disobeyed. His response was ‘what anarchy? People have a right to be angry and protest.’

“Osinbajo said that. So also other people in President Muhammadu Buhari’s camp said worse things. And nothing happened against them.”

On the court ruling against the national exco of the LP, Eholor said: “By the day it is clear that the disgruntled APC chieftains, especially Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, are involved in this(court ruling).

“Those who claimed that they suspended Abure are from Auchi. Auchi and Edo Central(where Abure hails from) are different areas. I would be surprised if Festus Keyamo is not also involved in this. There is a court ruling in Edo State that Abure and his exco are still the ones in charge of the LP.

“These people went to the LP office with the help of the police and other security agents to cart away documents and vandalize the office. This is not right. Nigeria is a failed state. I am sorry to say.

“In all these you cannot hear the President say anything. If you are mute to what is happening in your country it means you give your consent to it. This is a plot. They have tried everything.”
