Civil Society group warns Buhari to stop pampering criminal herdsmen

Edo State based Civil Society group, Talakawa Parliament, has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of “pampering those who are littering the streets with blood. Those who have imposed sorrow, tears and blood on our country.”

Addressing a Press Conference in Benin City, the leader of the group, Comrade Kola Edokpayi, called on the government to place the security of Nigerians in the front burner and stop his support for the criminal herdsmen.

He said: “As it is today, we cannot travel by road to Ekpoma let alone travelling by road to Abuja. The roads have been occupied by bandits, kidnappers, armed robbers etc. Even though it is the responsibility of the government to provide security for our people.

“On a daily basis they kidnap passengers, students traveling to Ekpoma, Auchi etc. Those that cannot afford to pay ransom are executed in the most barbaric and primitive manner as if we are living in a state of anarchy, as if we don’t have a government in Nigeria.

“Even though General Muhammadu Buhari’s action and inaction seem to be pampering those that are littering the street with blood; those that have imposed sorrow, tears and blood on our country.”
