Coalition Of Civil Society Leaders and Practitioners has dragged Governor Godwin Obaseki on his do or die statement during his party, People’s Democratic Party (PDP), governorship campaign grand finale last Saturday.
The Coalition stated that “as usual, Godwin Obaseki want to take us through his manipulative and self driven roads in order to have his way by manipulating and influencing the outcome of the scheduled Edo Governorship elections which perhaps has hit the rock.
“Hence, the reason why he is issuing statements that are capable of truncating the success of the fast approaching Edo Governorship elections.”
According to the group, “as advocates of egalitarian society anchored on peace, equal rights, equitably distribution of our resources and prosperity, we want to use this avenue to tell Godwin Obaseki that no Edo man or woman will die for his devilish and selfish interest.
“And the fast approaching Governorship elections will be held peacefully and a candidate will be declared winner contrary to Godwin Obaseki’s negative and demonic serial statements so far.”
The group asserted that “to this end, we want to once again call on the security agencies and other relevant authorities to focus their attention on Gov. Godwin Obaseki in order to forestall the breakdown of law and order before, during and after Edo governorship elections.”
