Prince Tom Iseghohi-Okojie, the gubernatorial standard bearer of the Action Alliance(AA) party in the next Saturday governorship election in Edo State, has prophesied that Senator Monday Okpebholo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the election, has the capacity to lead the state into growth, stability and prosperity.

He was speaking on Sunday afernoon while addressing the Press on why he is withdrawing from the race in support of Senator Okpebholo.

According to him, “leadership is not about standing alone. It is about knowing when to join forces for the greater good. Edo cannot afford another term of mismanagement, economic hardship, and insecurity.

“While I could continue my candidacy, it became clear to me that the best way to deliver on the promise of change for Edo is to unite with a capable leader who can lead us to victory. That leader is Senator Monday Okpevbolo.”

Going further, he asserted: “The PDP has had its opportunity, but unfortunately, they have not succeeded in bringing the progress our state needs. After careful reflection, I realized that aligning with APC, under Senator Okpebholo’s leadership, is the best path forward for Edo.

“Senator Monday Okpebholo may not be known for grand oratory, but leadership is about action, not rhetoric. History has shown us that great leaders—like Winston Churchill and Abraham Lincoln—were often criticized for their speaking styles, but their strength and vision led their nations through difficult times.

“Senator Okpebholo embodies this kind of leadership. He may not dazzle crowds with flashy speeches, but he is strategic, thoughtful, and deeply connected to his people. Behind the scenes, he has proven to me that he is a leader who listens, gathers the right people, and makes tough decisions for the good of Edo State. He is not driven by ego or power, but by a sincere desire to improve the lives of Edo people.”

On his collaboration with Senator Okpebholo he affirmed: “Our collaboration goes beyond election day. I am committed to helping implement a comprehensive economic recovery plan that will create 250,000 jobs in the next three years, solve our logistics challenges, and attract billions in investment. This plan will stabilize Edo’s economy, combat inflation, and create a thriving middle class, ensuring that our people prosper.”
