BSM alerts public of activities of scammers using its identity to perpetrate fraud

Benin Solidarity Movement (BSM) worldwide, a socio-cultural pressure group for the Benin speaking ethnic nationality which serves as a mouthpiece of the Benin people across the world, has alerted the public of the negative activities by some unscrupulous elements.

In a statement signed by its President, Elder Curtis Eghosa Ugbo, the BSM said: “Our attention have been drawn to some illegal and unscrupulous dealings by some elements who claim to be members of this group and who are presently parading themselves around town with letterhead of our Security/Civil Defence Section (E-SSSV) which is giving us cause for concern.

“We are hereby using this medium to inform the general public and dissociate our group from such illegal activities by such characters; we hereby warn the public to desist forthwith from any dealing with such unscrupulous persons without any approval from us.

“Kindly deal directly with us, henceforth through our contact details as indicated above.

“Thank you all and God bless you for your usual cooperation.”
