Breaking News: I will give Obaseki the fight of his life, Ogbeide-Ihama threatens

Honourable Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama, the member representing Oredo Federal Constituency in the lower chambers of the National Assembly, has vowed to give Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State a fight of his life for instigating his suspension from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The lawmaker made the vow while gisting with his friends and political associates in a closed door meeting in Benin City last weekend.

According to dependable sources at the meeting the former PDP gubernatorial aspirant in the last gubernatorial primaries in Edo State was very miffed by Governor Obaseki’s utterance which he asserted sounded like a snub mostly on old members of the party.

“Godwin Obaseki is taking this matter too far by initiating my suspension and those of some others whom he met in the party. It’s so absurd and unheard of that a tenant will give his landlord a quit notice for no tangible reason.

“If the national body of the PDP has objected to the suspension who is Obaseki to use some members of the party who are of no consequence to perfect his dirty plans.

“We are waiting for him. Guess he doesn’t know that the PDP is not of the same degree with his former political party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“He should be careful how he acts in PDP so that he is not consumed by his evil plots. We have an effective system in PDP with which we handle such his evil plot,” Hon. Ogbeide-Ihama was quoted as saying.

It would be recalled that Hon. Ogbeide-Ihama was one of the trio of gubernatorial aspirants that were pleaded with to step down for Governor Godwin Obaseki in the PDP gubernatorial primaries in Edo State in 2020.
