Niger State Governor, farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago, has inaugurated a 5 km township road in Sarkin-Power, Munya, Local Government Area of Niger State. The 5 km road is among the 556 km of road construction embarked on by his administration.

The farmer governor explained that the commencement and the completion of the project are a testament to his administration’s unwavering commitment to infrastructural development in the state.

He assured the people of Munya that more dividends of democracy will be delivered to them while calling on them to come out en mass to vote for the All Progressives Congress(APC) candidate in the State Assembly bye-election this Saturday.

Speaking on the relative peace in the area, the farmer governor appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Security Adviser(NSA), and all heads of security agencies for the collaborative efforts with the state government in tackling the insecurity that has hitherto crippled socio-economic activities in the area.

He also commended the Senator representing Niger East Senatorial District, Senator Mohammed Sani Musa, for the projects he has initiated across many sectors, describing them as complementary to the realisation of the New Niger Agenda.

The Deputy Governor, Comrade Yakubu Garba, who enumerated some efforts of the Bago-led administration in making life better for the people of Munya Local Government, enjoined the people to give more support to the success of the administration and the APC in the state.

Senator Musa, who applauded the efforts of the farmer governor, described the road project as the actualisation of his vision. He said the road would boost socio-economic activities in Munya especially as it is a farming community, and called on the people of the local government area to show their support and appreciation by voting for all APC candidates in all the coming elections, starting with the State Assembly bye-election.

The project contractor and the lead consultant disclosed that the project was carried out according to specifications, commending the farmer governor for the opportunity and assured that the road will be beneficial to the people of the local government area and generations to come.

In their separate goodwill messages, Speaker Niger State House of Assembly(NSHA), Barrister Abdulmalik Sarkin Daji; member representing Rafi/Shiroro/Munya Federal Constituency, Ismaila Musa Modibbo; former House of Representatives member, Alh. Abdullahi Riko; Niger State APC Chairman, Aminu Musa Bobi, and the Emir of Minna, Alhaji Umaru Faruk Bahago commended the farmer governor for the completion of the road and promised their continued support. Other completed  road projects would be inaugurated subsequently in phases.
