Bago harps on unity amongst APC members

Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State has stressed the need for unity among the All Progressives Congress(APC) members in the state.

The farmer Governor stated this during a special interactive session with each of the federal constituencies in the Niger East Senatorial District.

He said all hands must be on deck for the party to sustain its grip in the state, especially, pointing out that the Munya by-election for the state assembly coming up this week Saturday will be a litmus test for the party ahead of the council elections in November 2025.

The farmer Governor, who highlighted the efforts of his administration in all the sectors, promised to deliver more to the people of the Senatorial District to ensure prosperity regardless of emerging distractions. He commended the Senator representing Niger East Senatorial District, Sen. Mohammed Sani Musa, for granting scholarships to 100 youths across the Niger East to study medical-related courses abroad.

Bago announced that Senator Sani Musa has also provided 30 slots of foreign scholarships to the Niger State Government, which he said will be shared among Niger South and Niger North Senatorial Districts.

The Deputy Governor, Comrade Yakubu Garba, said the APC members should not underestimate their opponents but to redouble efforts and work diligently to ensure all-round victory for the party.

The Senator representing Niger East Senatorial District, Sen. Mohammed Sani Musa, described the farmer governor as a phenomenal leader whose achievements have distinguished him from his counterparts, especially in Northern Nigeria, and called for continued support to achieve much more in the coming years.

In their separate remarks, House of Representatives members and state lawmakers from the Niger East Senatorial District, commended the farmer Governor for achieving relative peace in the senatorial district and reaffirmed their readiness to continue to support the farmer Governor for rapid growth and development.

Other speakers, including the Niger State APC Chairman, Aminu Musa Bobi; APC Zone B Chairman Walijoh Danladi Ahijo, and other staunch APC members who spoke during the meeting, applauded the farmer Governor for the unprecedented transformation his administration has brought to the state. They cautioned party members not to engage in any form of anti-party activities but to work towards the success of the APC in all elections.

All APC stakeholders in the Federal Constituencies of the Niger East Senatorial District, comprising Shiroro/Rafi/Munya, Suleja/Tafa/Gurara, Bosso/Paikoro, and Chanchaga Federal Constituencies, unanimously endorsed farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago as the sole candidate of the APC in the 2027 general elections.
