The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Egor Local Government Area of Edo State is sitting on a keg of gunpowder as youths of the party in the locality are spoiling for war as they accused the state government of sidelining and undermining them in the scheme of things.

In a statement by Omusi Omoregie, the youth leader of Ward 10, Ugbowo, he alleged that “all the heads of the government revenue task force in Egor Local Government are members of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), despite the fact that the ruling party in our state is the APC. This is a blatant aberration that cannot be ignored!”

Going further, he stated: ” How can it be that in an APC-led government, those entrusted with critical positions in revenue collection are from the opposition? This deliberate sidelining of APC youths, who have worked tirelessly for the party’s success, is an insult that we will no longer tolerate.

“Many of our committed and hardworking young party faithful are disgruntled, disappointed, and dissatisfied with this unjust status quo.”

Omoregie asserted, ” we refuse to be mere spectators while our rightful opportunities are handed over to members of the opposition. Our patience has been stretched to its limit, and the time to act is now!

“We call on our party leaders, stakeholders, and decision-makers to take immediate steps to correct this injustice. The youth of APC are ready to stand up and fight for what we duly deserve.”

On a final note, he submitted: ” We will no longer accept being undermined, sidelined, and taken for granted. This systematic underrating of APC youths in Egor must stop now! Let those in positions of authority do the needful before this dissatisfaction escalates beyond control. We demand fairness, justice, and inclusion!”
