Alumni Association Chapter, USA, gives back to school in Benin

As part of efforts to give back to its alma mater and ensure current and future students of Eghosa Anglican Grammar School benefit from available technology and become more competitive globally, the Eghosa Alumni Association, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania Chapter, United States of America (USA), has commenced construction of an e-learning center at Eghosa Anglican Grammar School Complex.

An alumni of EGHOBA and APC Deputy National Treasurer, Lady Omorede Osifo,  performed the ground breaking on behalf of the President EGHOBA New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania Chapter, Dr. Osahon Ukponmwan.

It was a landmark moment for both past and present students of the school as they converged to mark the groundbreaking ceremony of the ICT building/e- library Centre, sponsored by the  Eghosa Alumni Association (New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania Chapter, United States).

In his remark the President of the Association, Dr. Osahon Ukponmwan, who was represented by Lady Omorede Osifo, said the idea behind the construction of the e- learning center is to ensure that the current students and future students benefit from available technology and become more competitive globally.

The principal of the School, Venerable Osakwe Edokpolor, commended the Alumni Association for the landmark  project and several other projects they’ve facilitated in the school. 

Highlight of the event was the official groundbreaking of the ICT building/ E- Library Centre, performed by Lady Osifo, accompanied by guests and the school management, amidst  excitement.

In an interview Lady Osifo, expressed excitement over the commencement of the e-learning center, noting that when fully completed and functional, it will help students avail themselves of modern technologies.

Some guests at the epoch event included the member respresenting Edo South State Secondary Education Board, Hon. Princess- Charity Osifo; Archbishiop of United Baptist Church Nigeria, Archbishiop Osama Usualele; global President of Eghosa Old Boys Association, Barrister Christian Omatsoni and Bishop of Anglican Church, Bishop Peter Imasuen represented by Venerable Charles Imariagbe all commended the Eghosa Alumni Association(New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania) Chapter, for the landmark project. 

Earlier, heartfelt prayers were offered by the General Overseer of Christ Apostolic Church of God Mission, Apostle Godspower Ogbomwan, for Dr. Ukponmwan and other EGHOBA Alumni members for giving back to their alma mater. 

Students of the school spiced up the event with their colorful dance and music presentation.
