Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Council, Comrade Festus Alenkhe, has felicitated with christians in Edo state on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebration.
In a statement, Comrade Alenkhe said that the Easter period is one to reflect on the essence of the death and resurrection of the saviour Jesus Christ which symbolises love for mankind.
He urged christians, especially journalists, to imbibe the spirit of love for one another as evidenced by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Comrade Alenkhe also urged them to use the period for sober reflection and rededicate themselves to the service of God Almighty.
In a related development, it was glitz and glamour on Saturday, April 16th, in Uromi, Esan North East Local Government Area, when Comrade Alenkhe was bestowed with the award of EXCELLENCE IN CRIME REPORTING by Esan Descendants Advancement Forum(EDAF) on the occasion of Esan Unity Summit.
The occasion was witnessed by distinguished personalities like the former Minister of Works, Architect Mike Onolemenme and Major General Cecil Esekhaigbe(Rtd) among many others.
