AAU Alumni Association warns public about activities of impostors

Ambrose Alli University (AAU) Alumni Association has warned the public to beware about what it called “the fraudulent activities of the impostor factional President” of the Association Worldwide, Dr. Clifford Omozeghian.

In a statement signed by Comrade Ehiorobo Friday for branch Chairmen. He said: “Recall that on the 8th of February 2024, a publication was released to the general public wherein a committee was set up for the sole purpose of raising funds for the completion of the Ambrose Alli University Exams and Records Building.

“The purported inauguration of the so called committee is a farce and a deliberate attempt by the imposter President to misleading the general public in order for unsuspecting members of the Alumni Association worldwide to part with their hard earned money into the hands of these group of alumni members who have no integrity and no regard whatsoever for the judiciary and the on going judicial process. In suit No. B/250. 05/2022 Benin High Court.

“Firstly, the so called fund raising committee was  inaugurated by itself. There was not any member of the university administration present. The university community are supposed to be the direct beneficiaries of this very project. Yet no member of the university administration was present.

Secondly, the factional/impostor President, Clifford Omozeghian not his Vice President was present.

“This was deliberate so as not to attract the attention of the public to themselves because their integrity has been called to question as to their claim to the leadership of the alumni association worldwide. Recall that the leadership of the AAU alumni association worldwide is a subject of litigation in an ongoing suite No. B/ 250. 05/2022 at the Benin High Court which recently this same Clifford Omozeghian through his lawyer requested the court to grant his application for substituted service in a preliminary objection they filled on this matter before the court.”

Going further, he said: “All but few of the members of this phoney committee are people of questionable past. For example, John Bello was one of the two members of the electoral committee who announced Clifford Omozeghian without a real election of the Alumni Association after the first election ended in a tie. His reward is now a membership of the so-called fund raising committee.”

In conclusion, Ehiorobo stressed: “The general public especially Ambrose Alli University Alumni Family is by this publication advised to be wary of the activities of this impostor’s President and his co-travallers activities so as not to fall for their clandestine and obsequious scheme to obtain by false pretext funds from unsuspecting members and the public.”
