Dear esteemed members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP),
As we gather during this joyous Christmas season, a time of hope, reflection, and renewal, we find ourselves at a pivotal moment in our state’s history. The recent unfortunate very heavily flawed result of the governorship in Edo State has ushered in a new government that is not only hostile but is actively working to undermine the achievements of our administration. We witness with concern the intimidation of former officials and the illegal suspension of council chairmen and their vice chairs—a brazen attempt to seize control and dismantle the legacy we have built together.
But let us be clear: We will not be intimidated. During this season of goodwill, we must remember that our strength lies in unity and resilience. We are a party that stands for the people of Edo, and now more than ever, we must rally together in solidarity and strength.
This is a call to all PDP members to remain loyal and steadfast. Let us not allow fear and uncertainty to shake our foundations. Our party represents the hope for a better and brighter future for all Edo people. As we celebrate with family and friends, let us also reach out to our fellow citizens, engaging with them to reaffirm our commitment to their interests and well-being.
I urge each of you to engage with your communities, to share our vision, and to reassure our supporters that the PDP is the only party that truly represents their aspirations. Encourage every member to come together, to unite in our purpose, and to work hand in hand to build and stabilize our party.
As we enjoy the spirit of Christmas, let us also remember our mission. It is time for every member to step forward and be counted. The strength of our party lies in our collective action, in our unwavering belief in the principles of democracy, justice, and accountability. Let us demonstrate that we are not just a party, but a movement that represents the voice of the people.
Together, we can rise above the challenges we face. Together, we can restore hope and trust among the people of Edo State. Let us stand firm in our commitment to the PDP and to the betterment of our communities.
