Senate hopeful, Paul Omo Okojie, has asserted that his aspirations is driven by his desire to let his constituents in Edo Central Senatorial District, who have been silenced for over 400 years, have a voice.
According to the Labour Party (LP) aspirant, “for over 400 years, my people have endured neglect, marginalization, and a system that has consistently silenced their voices. We the Esan people have contributed immensely to the growth of this nation, yet we remain unheard in the corridors of power.
“My aspirations as a Senator are not for personal gain but for the liberation, empowerment, and progress of Edo Central people who have been pushed to the background for far too long.”
Going further, he disclosed: “I seek a future where every man, woman and child in Edo Central can dream without fear. Where opportunities are not reserved for a privileged few, and where justice is not a luxury but a right. Our struggle is not just about political representation—it is about reclaiming our dignity, rewriting our story, and ensuring that our voices shape the policies that affect our lives.”
He vowed that if he is given the mandate he will “fight for inclusive governance, economic empowerment, and infrastructural development” while ensuring that “the resources meant for my people reach them. That our youths are given the tools to succeed, and that our elders do not live in despair.
“My mission is clear: to break the cycle of silence, to uplift my people, and to pave the way for a future where we are not just seen, but heard and respected.”
