A paradigm shift in political alignment has just been noticed in Edo State. Just now in a surprising turn of events, Godwin Obaseki diehard canvasser, Albert Obazee, has somewhat conceeded superiority to Governor Godwin Obaseki’s rival, Chief Patrick Eholor in a recent post on his social media handle.

What has caught the attention of the public is the manner in which Obazee chose to express his support for Eholor. Obazee used an earlier video clip produced by Eholor as an advertisement in his post thereby effectively promoting Eholor’s platform and endorsing his social crusade movement.

The video clip in question features Eholor shouting in his dialect (Benin) “Who Doesn’t Know His Own” highlighting his key policy proposals and emphasizing his commitment to serving the people.

By featuring this clip in his own business Obazee appears to be signaling his belief that Eholor is the best person, despite the past rivalry between Governor Obaseki and Chief Eholor.

While it is not uncommon for political opponents to come together in the spirit of unity after a hard-fought campaign, the use of a rival’s video materials as an advertisement is certainly a unique approach. Some have praised Obazee’s move as a selfless act of support for the best interests, while others question whether there may be underlying strategic motivations at play.

Regardless of the reasons behind Obazee’s decision, it is clear that the political dynamics in the region have shifted in response to this unexpected development. As Eholor continues his human rights activism, he now enjoys the public support of Albert Obazee.

In conclusion, Obazee’s endorsement of Eholor through the use of a video clip as an advertisement has added a fascinating new dimension to the political discourse in the heartbeat state.
