Senator Matthew Urhoghide, aspiring to succeed Governor Godwin Obaseki on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the guber poll of September 2024, has felicitated with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his victory at the Supreme Court.
In a congratulatory message he sent to Mr. President he stressed: “We will support your government with all our might and to the extent that our best abilities permit.”
According to Senator Urhoghide, “Today, October 26, 2023, the Supreme Court of Nigeria finally put to rest the question of who should rule our dear country Nigeria for the next four years and it decided it should be you.
“Your Excellency, I join you, your family members, supporters and indeed Nigerians to rejoice with you on this victory which heralds the clear focus now to put your plans for the general good of the country in full gear.
“We will support your government with all our might and to the extent that our best abilities permit. We also have no doubt that you mean well for the country and that, though your great plans for Nigeria may not be too clear for some of our people to grasp at the moment, these policies shall distill into the fine essence that will be greeted with gratitude and appreciation going forward.
“We believe that your service on behalf of our country and for which you have adequately prepared these past few decades shall stand us in good stead eventually.”
