His Royal Highness Henry Binidodogha, the President of the First Phase of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, has called on all and sundry as it relates to the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to calm frayed nerves and stop the unnecessary brickbat that has engulfed the atmosphere.

Binidodogha said, “as a royal father I shouldn’t be caught in the web of arguments and counter arguments that will not be of benefit to us in the Niger Delta region.

“As it were now we need development and it can only be possible through having enduring peace and unity.

“My advice is that we should endeavour to stick to truth and honesty in all that we do. We should be focused at all times. There is no need for bad blood. Together we will get to the pinnacle. We should avoid unnecessary distraction that is gradually popping up. It will do no good than to set us back.”

Going further, Binidodogha asserted that Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, who is the head of the Management Committee of the NDDC, should not be subjected to open attack in the media as “it’s not ideal that we ridicule ourselves in the public domain. Rather, we should endeavour to criticize with caution.

“In the same vein, we, the stakeholders of the Niger Delta, should be careful how we run media publication in order not to damage each other’s image. That way the Niger Delta will be a better place for both local and foreign investors.

“With dedication to a serene environment devoid of unnecessary brickbat we will get to the pinnacle in no distant time. On this we should stand.”
