Ahead of the 2023 presidential election, some youths drawn from South South, South East, South West, and North East under the auspices of Wike Volunteer Network(WVN) have registered their support for the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike to contest the highest political office in Nigeria.
In a statement the Coordinator General, Comrade Solomon Okoduwa said they are planning a massive solidarity rally early May in Abuja.
“This is to woo other regions,” according to Okoduwa “to support the nomination of the most competent and courageous man for the job.”
He said “the Rivers State Governor has a proven record of excellence. He is a better aspirant and all Nigerians should support him.
“We are Nigerian youths, we know what is good for us. Everyone can see his track record in Rivers State. This man is experienced for the top job and can take us out of this wilderness to the promise-land.
“Governor Wike will unify, restore hope and confidence in our country. With the creativity, capacity and experience of this man, he will improve the economy of Nigeria to center of attraction and creative hub.”
The statement said further, “Our movement is a voluntary one for the forthcoming presidential election 2023 to rekindle a ray of hope to Nigerians who believe in the personality of His Excellency, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.
“Our movement will use digital platform, PVC holder members, to drive a robust political campaign to support the candidacy of Nyesom Wike for the position of President come 2023.
“Transformation Agenda For Nigerians Movement will bring together every Nigerian respective of tribe and ethnicity for the realization of this noble goal. We will be in touch with volunteers from all walks of life for this assignment to usher His Excellency, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike in 2023.”
