Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello’s aspiration to become President Muhammadu Buhari’s successor in 2023 has started suffering some setback on account of what some youths and other stakeholders most especially in the Niger Delta call his been secluded from his real supporters by some of his aides.

Insiders squealed that the aggrieved individuals have made up their mind to pitch their tent elsewhere as Bello’s aides continue to shield him from those who believe so much in him and who in recent times have been mounting massive media support in his favour.

2023: I will implement restructuring, says Tambuwal

“Governor Yaya Bello’s aides we believe are going to cause him a lot of setback with the way they keep shielding him from those of us who have been doing so much to campaign for him in his aspiration to become President in 2023.

“What these set of people don’t know is that Governor Bello needs all the support he can get now so that by the time the whistle is blown for the race to Aso Rock in 2023 he will be in pole position.

“Would you not be surprised to hear that as of now we have not been allowed to have a close contact with him since we started flying our kite for his emergence as President in 2023.

“How absurd would it be that the man we have being canvassing for all these while has been elusive. We have not been able to meet with him to give him our own blueprint on how to achieve our dreams of having him as the successor to President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.

“If this continue we may have no choice than to follow the argument of some hardliners in our midst who all along have not fully been in support of our choice of the Kogi governor whom they see as a wrong choice of successor to Buhari in this era when everyone is clamouring for power shift to the Southern part of Nigeria.”

Our source disclosed that in a couple of days from now the different groups would meet and come up with a no-going-back choice of candidate that would be acceptable to a large population of Nigerians.
