Ndi-Igbo United Forum (NUF), a social political organization, has expressed its resolve to work with all Nigerians of different socio-political and cultural leanings for the actualisation of Igbo Presidency come 2023.
Chairman Board of Trustee, NUF, Chief Chinedu Mba, who stated this in Enugu recently while speaking with newsmen said allowing President of Igbo extraction will bring the needed peace and unity.
Chief Mba noted that other tribes in Nigeria have gotten their own due share in the leadership of the country since independence and called for equity and fairness in the political equation which he said will not only enhance development but strengthened democracy in the country.
The NUF BOT Chairman said while the group will not fault agitations of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) for an independent state of Biafra, it will align itself to promoting one Nigeria.
His words: “We are part of Nigeria and in 2023 I believe Igbo man will emerge as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“I believe in political power sharing, turn by turn and with that you will find out that there will be peace in Nigeria.
“Any political party that nominated an Igbo man as its presidential candidate, Ndigbo United Forum, will mobilize our brothers and sisters all over the world to ensure that the party wins the election.”
