2023: I am the only one capable of fixing Nigeria, says Atiku
Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the frontline presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in the national delegates congress of the party coming up from the 28th to 29th May, has stated that he is in the best position to fix Nigeria’s myriad of problems as he has done a similar thing in the past.
He made the statement while on a consultation visit to delegates of the party in Edo State at the party’s secretariat in Benin City on Friday evening.
Alhaji Abubakar lambasted the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for destroying the achievements of the PDP while in office for 16 years in just eight years that it took control at the centre.
He said, “the PDP has done an excellent job in this country. Let us return the party to power at the centre. I was involved in the shaping of the economy to standard.
“But see what is happening now. Today of you don’t come from a part of the country you are left to remain where you’re.
“I humbly submit that I have the capacity to change the course of the country for the better. It is only when we(PDP) are returned to power that we can start talking about rotation. We invented rotation in our constitution.”
In conclusion, the presidential aspirant stated that it is only when the PDP is in power through his election as president that the process of ensuring that all Nigerians have a sense of belonging can be kickstarted.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the PDP in Edo State, Tony Aziegbemi stated that Abubakar has the solution to the problems confronting Nigeria.
He assured the aspirant that the 107 national delegates from the state will vote massively for him during the party’s primary.
