N’Edo Gheria, a socio political and cultural group, has stated that the victory of the Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo at the State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal is a confirmation of the trust and hope the people reposed on him in the Saturday, September 21, 2024, Governorship Elections in the state.
The group made the statement in a congratulatory message to Governor Okpebholo and his deputy, Hon. Dennis Idahosa made available to newsmen on Monday.
According to the National Convener of the group, Comrade Patrick Ebojele, the Okpebholo administration “in just about four months into office has started manifesting great testimonies from several sectors of the state demanding attention.
“You can see that governance has been brought to the grassroots. People in the rural communities are now feeling the presence of government through rural electrification projects ongoing, rural road construction, intervention in infrastructural development of key sectors, including Education and employment into the civil service.”
Comrade Ebojele averred that “just now, there was another feat by the governor to upset the outstanding graduities owned retired civil servants since 2012. This is welfarism and this is the essence of government. Providing welfare and security for the people.”
In conclusion, Comrade Ebojele commended the administration’s “unwavering dedication to Edo people through this laudable projects ongoing.”
