The media accreditation process for the Men’s World Floorball Championships scheduled for 7th – 25th December, 2024 in Malmo, Sweden, has commenced and it is opened till 30th of November.
Information contained in the organisers’ World Floorball Championship (WFC’s) website indicates that the media accreditation which started on the 30th September, is opened for all types of media: TV, radio, print or online and photographers.
The championship is planned to be held in Malmo Arena and Baltic Hall and will see about 16 teams divided into four groups to participate in the tournament.
As part of efforts to ensure a classic championship, the International Floorball Federation (IFF) has concluded the nominations of the referee and referee coach which is made up of seven referee pairs from six different countries and four referee coaches from four different nationalities.
The information also revealed that Mr. Mattias Linell, from Sweden, is the Head Referee, while the three referee coaches are: Mr. Jakub Furmanek from Czech, Mr. Mika Saatamoinen from Finland and Mr. Inge Haug from Norway.
The Chairman of IFF, Mr. Carlos Lopez, explained that in selecting the referee and the referee coach that they ensured the combination of experienced and new comers. He was optimistic they are going to have a good and high standard tournament in Malmo in December.
“As always, we have tried to combine experienced and new comers to this level and the referee and referee coach,” Mr. Carlos Lopez, the Chairman of IFF said, “we are all looking forward to have a very good and high quality tournament in Malmo in December.”
