We will sack PDP in Rivers, says APC aspirants

Former Commissioner for Land and Survey in Rivers State, Ezemonye Ezekiel Amadi and President General of Ikwerre Youth Movement(IYM), Azubuike Chikere Wankoju have declared their interest to run for Ikwerre-Emohua Federal Constituency and Ikwerre State Constituency respectively ahead of 2023 general elections under the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC).

Ezekiel who is gunning for Ikwerre-Emohua Federal Constituency addressed members of APC at IYM Secretariat in Isiokpo Community.

He boasted that the APC will be on the ballot in 2023 and expressed optimism that the party will win elections in Rivers State.

Ezemonye Ezekiel while expressing concern over high level of distrust in politics in last elections, said he is better Prepared with Wanjoku in the legislatiure and stressed the need to support each other.

He solicited the support of party members just as he called for love and mutual respect among party faithful in other to win in 2023.

Azubuike Wankoju, a former member of the Rivers State House of Assembly, who is seeking re- election to Ikwerre State constituency said he has cognitive experience as a former lawmaker adding that he is the bridge between the young and old generations.

He alleged that he was suspended at night in the last legislature by majority members of the ruling PDP because of his stand on due process and transparency in legislative business.

He submitted that his return to the legislature will bring positive change and employment opportunities to Rivers people

Chairman of APC in Ikwerre, Frank Aribodor and his counterpart in Emohua Local Government Area, Austin Asomeji, who were present at the event said Ikwerre people are aggrieved over poor representation at various level of governance and maintained that they are united to unseat the current administration of Peoples Democratic Party.
