University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) was thrown into pandemonium today as sick patients were left unattended to because of lack of drugs.
We reliably gathered that this is a fall back to the huge sums of money the acclaimed mighty health facility has been battling with for months by the newly appointed Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the tertiary institution.
It would be recalled that the change of the CMD came with grudges as the erstwhile occupant of the position left in a hurried manner putting paid to years of stigmatization and untold glorification of morbid anatomy.
In the meantime, it is oral health that is the main stay of the hospital at the moment.
