Pastor Valiho Osaigbovo Osagie, who Ministers at Living Faith Church (aka Winners Chapel) situated at Evboivbioba, a community in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State, has recounted with profound gratitude the story of his life as a Nollywood star before becoming a Minister in the Lord’s vineyard.
On his pastoral duties, “this past three years has been an awesome journey being a pastor and also coming from the background of being an actor. The word of God says ‘I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.’ The strength has been enormous. July 14th, 2022, marked three years that I have been a practicing pastor. The call came July 14th, 2019.
“This journey has been so interesting seeing people been impacted by God through me with miracles, signs and wonders. One day I was in service, preaching during a midweek service. The Lord spoke to me that ‘there is someone here who is pregnant and the Lord said the name of the child is going to be Isaac.’
“There was nobody in the service to my visibility that was pregnant. It was some days ago that I saw the woman carrying a baby and greeting me. She said the father of the baby calls him Miracle but the real name of the child is Isaac.
“‘How do you mean the father calls the child Miracle but his real name is Isaac?'” I asked her. She recounted my prophetic declaration about the child many months earlier. She disclosed that when the prophesy was announced she knew that she and the baby in her belly were the ones been referred to.
“This is just one of the numerous things that God is doing through me. A lot of people are experiencing life transformation through my ministry. When we started the ministry we were worshipping in a small corner in a premises but today we have a proper place of worship, a land given to the church by someone. All these are amazing testimonies.
“Everything about life is impact. How you are able to impact people’s lives. God is impacting us daily so we should impact others in return. Apart from members of my congregation other people I come across are blessed. I recall when I gave my life to Christ in 2016. When I sat down to do my calculation from March to December all the souls that God gave me were 678. Those were those that I got their names not the ones whose names I did not get. The following year it was over 500 souls.
“One testimony that I cannot fail to share is that of a woman the devil planned to take her life. Thank God for God when He reveals He redeems. He revealed and told me to pray against death, reverse this death which I did. Two days later she went to her shop only for a tipper to veer off the road and hit her with the wheelbarrow she uses to do her business. It hit her stomach which was swollen.
“People around took her to the nearest hospital. She was treated and she returned home. Three days later when I saw her she complained that the place was still swollen. I advised her to go for scanning. She later went to the hospital where she usually deliver her children. The doctor felt the swelling could be pores. As soon as he placed his surgical knife on the spot and tore it her intestine started gushing out. The doctor had to call another doctor from the UBTH(University of Benin Teaching Hospital). It took the doctor from UBTH almost three hours to get to where the woman was and handle her case. God kept the woman alive all these while. The operation was successful.”
He gave God the glory for his string of successes as an actor.
“Whenever I appear in a movie production the movie is sure to be a success story,” he asserted.
On the recent myriad of deaths in the movie industry, he charged the stars to hang on to God for safety.
“Death, first and foremost is inevitable. Everybody would die one day but the truth is that when the purpose of a thing is under played death is inevitable. Talent is of God. It is God that gives talent. When the talent given by God is not glorifying God you choose to take your path anything can happen. Many are not toeing the path of God. Many would say that ‘I am a Christian, I go to church.'”
“It is not just to go to church but to be a believer and be rooted in God’s words. We know that even those rooted in God’s words still die. There is this God’s coverage but when you’re out of the coverage of God you’re vulnerable.”
Going further, he stressed: “There’s an illustration that I will use as regards this. When you pick up a piece of paper you can decide to do whatsoever that you want to do with it. You can decide to squeeze it, you can decide to use it to wipe your backside or to set it on fire. The paper doesn’t have a say. That’s how who is not on the coverage of God is.
“The devil can choose to tear them, to set them on fire, to afflict them with sickness, disease, death, plague etc. That’s why the scripture says ‘he that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the almighty.’
“That is the coverage. I pray that we would do our best to keep reaching out to our people as regards Christ. Jesus said, ‘I am the way, the truth and life’. When you have Jesus you have life. You know the truth. The truth will set you free.”
