Traditionalist, Prince Ogievie1, has stated that the legion of problems that Nigeria is facing presently is an aftermath of the stubborn disposition to the pronouncements of the gods via a mighty baobab tree (the eyes of the gods) that is located in the high temple in which he hibernates.

Prince Ogievie1 gave a brief recall of an incident that occurred some years back when he decided to trim the baobab tree and the action produced a fiery reaction as blood started gushing out of the tree.

He disclosed that he had to sacrifice a cow before a solution could be gotten for the problem at hand and peace returned. He still does the sacrifice once every year.

“Since that discovery was made, the eye of the gods, which on some occasion speaks, has in conjunction with the mystery pond in the middle of the high temple produced series of messages and spiritual items from the gods to either explain a situation or to give a solution to situations.

“For years now the two (eye of the gods and the mystery pond) have brought forth messages that has to do with undertaking some steps that would make life easy for Nigerians but which non had been adhered to by the rulers (traditional and political).”

Prince Ogievie1 asked that why is it inside the Ogievie High Temple that the series of messages emanate from and why is its pronouncements coming to pass about series of calamities, hunger, starvation and deaths.

“More of such pronouncements will come to pass unless the gods are appeased. This would affect lots of traditional rulers and political office holders who have over time acted dumb to the words of caution from the gods.

“Not until the offending group of people congregate here in the high temple to listen and carry out the instructions of the gods things will be on a tupsy turvy level in Nigeria with the calamities, hunger, starvation and deaths spreading around like a wild bush fire.”
