The South African government has begun an inquiry into the sudden demise of Nigerian content creator Nwobu Odera, who allegedly passed away on Sunday due to health complications associated with high blood pressure.

A viral video from his friend, who goes by Daddy Billly, indicated that Odera had a serious health scare three days earlier when his heart began racing uncontrollably.

He was taken to a pharmacy for assistance and received medication that helped stabilize his condition at that time. However, a distress call was made on Sunday night, reporting that Odera was unable to move and appeared lifeless.

Daddy Billly explained, “Three days ago, Odera had an episode where his heart was beating so fast that it was visible. He was taken to the pharmacy, where his blood pressure was recorded at about 171.

The pharmacist warned him that he could have had a stroke if he had delayed. He was given medication and became stable.

On Sunday, he went out again, but I think he forgot to take his blood pressure medication, and by the evening, he started feeling weak.

When we walked a little, he said he was tired and couldn’t walk for long. No one remembered to check if he had taken his medication.

Later, we went to a club, and after everyone left, we got a call that Odera was unable to move again.

We couldn’t transport him ourselves because of local regulations; we had to wait for an ambulance, which confirmed his death.”

He further noted that South African law requires an autopsy for young individuals who die outside of a medical facility or without a known serious illness.

Thus, investigators are insisting on a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death. “As we speak, Odera’s death is mysterious.

According to South African law, he is still very young, and since he died outside a hospital and without a serious illness, an autopsy must be conducted.

The results will be available in four or five days,” he also addressed rumors suggesting that Odera’s death was a prank.

“I made this video because people are calling me and saying it’s a prank and that Odera is still alive.”
