Shaibu petitions National Judicial Council over alleged misconduct of Edo Chief Judge

The impeachment of the erstwhile deputy governor of Edo State, Comrade Philip Shaibu, has taken a new turn. 

Comrade Shaibu has notified the National Judicial Council (NJC) of his intention to obtain a complaint form to file a formal complaint against Hon. Justice Daniel Okungbowa, the Chief Justice of Edo State. 

Comrade Shaibu’s grounds of complaint against Justice Okungbowa is “for abuse of office, official misconduct and desecration of his oath of office.”

The letter of notification written by his counsel, B. I. Dakum was signed by Adaze Emwanta Esq who was the Edo State Commissioner for Information in the Governor Godwin Obaseki’s first tenure.
