Rights activist commends Tinubu on suspension of EFCC Chairman, asks for more

Human rights activist and chieftain of the Labour Party(LP), Dr. Patrick Osagie Eholor (aka Ultimate Equals), has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for prompt response to his petition to sack and prosecute EFCC Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa.

He has also hailed the President for the invitation of former Aviation Minister, Hadi Sirika for interrogation over the alleged Nigeria Air scam.

Recall that the activist in a statement last Saturday, gave the President seven days to carry our the arrests and sack or he would personally take the duo to court.

The LP strongman however, said he expected the President to go after many others who have indulged in stealing our common patrimony in the midst of hardship all over the land. He also called for more positive reforms in the country. He assured Tinubu that his administration is only temporary, as Mr. Peter Obi would be claiming his mandate very soon.

Hear him: “Yesterday, the news was everywhere that the corrupt EFCC Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa has been removed and handed over to the DSS. While I expressed satisfaction over the move, I was also happy to hear this morning that Hadi Sirika, who spent ₦billion just to hire a plane for a day has been invited for questioning.

“That said, while I commend Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the moves, I want to remind him that what he is occupying is an illegal position and does not belong to him. The mandate he holds is not his, he is an illegal president, an illegal occupant.

“But since he chose to take what doesn’t belong to him, he must be ready to work for the people and ensure that things are working, until our rightful President, Mr. Peter Obi reclaims his mandate.

“Labour Party won the election. Peter Obi was voted for by Nigerians. As long as his mandate is not restored, those holding it will not rest until they return that mandate to the rightful President.”
