Pastor Solomon Vyapnim Rimtip(aka Esvi Rimtip), the pioneer founder of the famous Tarok Choir, is dead. He was aged 82 years.
Born in 1941, in Langtang North Local Government Area of Plateau State, Pastor Rimtip was a devout Christian noted for his humility and passion for the gospel.
Pastor Rimtip was also a teacher and marketer and rose to the rank of Regional Manager (North) with BEAM UAC before he answered the call to serve in God’s Vineyard as a Bible Translator and Pastor. He co- produced the first Christian Program on TV in Sokoto State in the 70s.
He is the father of the Jos based R and B musician and broadcaster, Sakmicit Solomon(aka Sak Solo), who is also the convener and founder of Icu O Tarok, the umbrella body of Tarok musicians and entertainers.
His burial ceremony will be announced later by his family.
