Physically challenged ex-corps member seeks financial assistance for his triplets

“The blessing of the Lord makes rich and adds no sorrow,” so the holy scripture says. For Matthew Maxwell Ohiare, who is physically challenged, yet won the award of the Best Service Corps Member in Edo State for the Year 2023, the blessing of triplets has come with huge responsibilities.

In a heartwarming turn of Easter celebrations Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Ohiare were blessed with the arrival of  triplets, two boys and one girl which was welcome with misfeelings, adding joy and challenges to their life journey.

Matthew Ohiare, who hails from Agenebode in Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State and his wife from Oyede, Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, are both managing a photography job. They were already blessed with a son before the arrival of the triplets.

As the family navigates this new chapter of their lives considering the economic quagmire in our country, there arises a need for public assistance to support them in various aspects of their lives especially as the man of the house lives with disability.

The Chief Medical Director(CMD) of Osayawe Peace Medical Center Benin City, Dr. Rex Omogbai, who corroborated the story harped on the need for well meaning Nigerians to render assistance to Mr. and Mrs. Ohiare. He said, “under closed examination of the mother of the triplets, the medical team proceeded to delivery.

“The mother and the babies have been in the hospital since two weeks and, they are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). They are currently on oxygen and we are monitoring the oxygen saturation closely.

“This is a blessing from God but sometimes blessing comes with added responsibilities. That is why I am joining them to call on well meaning Edo citizens and beyond to come to their aid,” he added.

The mother of the triplets, Mrs. Joy Ohiare, said the discovery came as a shock to her at the early stage of her pregnancy, hence taking care of the accruing medical bills and catering for the babies in the face of the economic hardship in the country is taking a turn on her and her husband who is physically challenged and just rounded off the compulsory National Youth Service Corp (NYSC).

She appealed to the Edo State Government, corporate organizations, institutions and kind hearted Nigerians to support them financially to enable them settle medical bills and, for the upkeep of the babies.

The father of the triplets used the opportunity to ask for a good jpob or  financial support to invest in their photography business adding that if he could get a good artificial limb to ease his movement, it will be well appreciated.
