Oredo Local Govt Council needs Tom Obaseki now

Elections into various Councils of Edo State is coming at a time when most local government areas are gasping for air in the face of dwindling allocation and what have you.

While Oredo Local Government Area is not insulated from these challenges, it also needs a breath of fresh air for its sustainability. Someone with an impeccable administrative acumen is needed to positively change the fortune of the Council in the face of these daunting challenges.

Who is better prepared than Dr Tom Obaseki who on two previous occasions was denied of this opportunity because of reasons best known to the leadership of the party.

Again, a better opportunity have thrown itself upon his desire to superintend over the local government that have lacked good governance.

Dr. Obaseki, a frontline aspirant for Oredo Local Government Council Chairman, like I have heard him say in many fora and what I do know about him, is seeking the office for the enthronement of good governance in the area.

It is for this reason that I am appealing to the leadership and delegates of the local government to nominate and support his election for the position. His experience and qualifications have prepared him for the task of positively changing the fortune of the Council.

His administrative acumen traverse all sectors and I also do know that he will prioritise and make the issue of insecurity and welfare of the people as center piece of his goverment when elected.

For me, I think the biggest challenge today in Oredo is that of good governance, with this in place every other thing will fall in the right perpestctive.

I can assure you that he will ensure social inclusion by carrying everybody along through periodic townhall meetings and interactions. He will reengineer the thinking and direction of the local government by embracing technology.

He will also leverage on technology to turn around the health care sector and health needs of the council area and its people respectively.

The Dr. Obaseki that I know will create work culture for the youths so as to take many off the streets. I know he is very passionate about the youths and like he has mentioned on several occasions, he will make our youths a priority in such that those who are students will earn stipends especially when on holidays by working.

His (Obaseki) is not an issue of deliverables on all these promises, it is about appealing to the people to make an informed choice for these and many more to be unfolded.
