The Edo State Football Association (Edo FA) has announced the donation of a newly instituted trophy for the winner of the 2025/2026 Edo FA Cup Tournament by Hon. Romeo Omoike, a notable football enthusiast, philanthropist, and prominent youth advocate from Etsako West Local Government Area of the state.
Hon. Omoike is widely recognized for his passion for football development and his consistent commitment to youth empowerment through sports. His donation of the new Edo FA Cup trophy underscores his strong support for grassroots football and his confidence in the vision and leadership of the Edo State Football Association.
In his remarks, Hon. Omoike expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Edo FA under the leadership of its Chairman, Mr. Fred Newton Erhunmwunse, alongside the Vice Chairman, board members, and the entire executive committee. He noted that he has keenly followed the activities of the Association and is impressed by the level of organization, transparency, and dedication being demonstrated in advancing football development across the state.

He also assured that, upon assuming office as the Honourable Chairman of Etsako West Local Government Council, football development and youth engagement through sports would be given priority during his tenure.
