Obaseki will get it right, says Edo PDP chairman

Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in Edo State, Tony Aziegbemi, has absolved the state governor, Godwin Obaseki, of dictatorial tendencies by not appointing a cabinet six months into his second tenure in office.

Aziegbemi disclosed that presently the state government house work force is loaded with too many people such that it is overloaded.

According to him, “the work force in the government house is over loaded with people and Governor Obaseki cannot continue with such huge numbers as he plans to make the system more efficient. He cannot carry such a baggage.”

He denied insinuations that Governor Obaseki is slowing down the pace of governance. Rather, he stated that he is doing a painstaking job of ensuring that the right people are placed in cabinet positions.

On the allegation that the governor made that the federal government is printing more money to revive the comatose economy, Aziegbemi, who is an economist by training, said that the governor’s allegation was in order as it is a patriotic call for the government at the centre to live up to its duties of making living comfortable for the average Nigerian.
