Enogie of Evbobanosa, His Royal Highness (HRH) Prof. Gregory Akenzua and other Dukes (Enigies) in Orhionmwon Local Government Area (LGA) of Edo State, on Tuesday, received the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, and his deputy and running mate, Rt. Hon. Comr. Philip Shaibu in the LGA, and offered royal blessings for their reelection bid.

Speaking on behalf of other Dukes (Enigies) in the LGA, the Enogie of Evbobanosa, who received the governor, his deputy and other members of the Edo PDP Campaign Council in his palace, hailed the governor’s landmark achievements across the state, praying for his victory in the September 19, 2020 governorship election.

According to him, “The Enigies from Orhionmwon East Ward welcome you to this palace and your heart’s desires will come to fulfillment. We pray for you and your deputy that you shall succeed in all you lay your hands on.

“We have seen all the good works you have done in the state, knowing that you have intentions of bringing more development into the state. We pray God gives you victory in the forthcoming governorship election. Our prayer is that God and our ancestors will give you the strength and victory at the poll to continue with your developmental strides.

“We all call you Wake and See Governor, we know you still have a lot of things in mind to do for the people of Orhionmwon and Edo State. May victory be yours in the election so that you can fulfill the developmental plans you have for the people of the state.”

Urging political actors in the state to ensure a peaceful electioneering campaign, the traditional ruler said: “We urge all of you to ensure a peaceful atmosphere, before, during and after the September 19, 2020 governorship election.

“You and your deputy will succeed in the governorship election and your heart’s desires for the state shall be achieved and the people will certainly benefit from it. You shall come out victorious,” he assured.
