Oba of Benin felicitates with Muslims, Nigerians

His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II, Oba of Benin, has admonished all Muslims faithful across the world to continually show the virtues of obedience and sacrifice to the will of Almighty Allah.

Going further, in a statement signed by the Benin Palace Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Victor Ogiemwanre, said:
“He emphasized that the economic development of any nation stems from indulgence in hard work, obedience, humility, patience, and sacrifices, and calls on all Muslims to fervently pray against economic hardships, insecurity; incessant-senseless killings ravaging the country, and therefore urged Muslims to remain prayerful for peace, unity, the progress of the country, Nigeria.

“In this year’s Eid-el-Kabir message to felicitate with the entire Muslims and other Nigerians, Oba of Benin calls on all Muslims to use the period to fervently pray for President Mohammadu Buhari, Governor Godwin Obaseki, and all other Nigerian leaders for their ability to steer the affairs of the country to an enviable height.

“The Oba charged all Muslims to graciously thank Almighty Allah for giving us another Eid-el-Kabir and to accept our renunciations so that we can experience much more satisfaction in our fortunes.

“Accordingly he congratulates and wishes all Muslims happy Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.”
