Newly appointed Technical Manager of Bendel Insurance FC, Kennedy Boboye, has pledged to “work hard with all relevant stakeholders to deliver results that will make Edo people proud.”
He made the pledge on arrival in Benin City in readiness for his unveiling and new role. He was warmly received by the Executive Chairman, Edo State Sports Commission, Desmond Enabulele and top officials of the Commission as well as the General Manager(GM) of the Club, Charles Ihimekpen.
Boboye was immediately taken on a tour of facilities at the iconic Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium by Enabulele and the team’s top officials.
The new coach was conducted round key facilities including the main bowl, training pitches, dressing rooms, Media Center, gym and the recovery center.
The tour marks the beginning of a new chapter for the experienced gaffer as he has already sealed a two-year deal with the Benin Arsenals and now in Benin City ready for the unveiling ceremony scheduled to hold tomorrow at 1pm at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.
Speaking after the tour, Enabulele expressed confidence in Boboye’s ability to change the narrative and steer Bendel Insurance to greater heights in the Nigeria Premier Football League(NPFL).
“We welcome Coach Kennedy Boboye to Benin. The government of Edo State, under the leadership of Governor Monday Okpebholo is committed to supporting the team fully,” said Enabulele.
Coach Boboye described the stadium as “top-notch” and as a familiar ground. He commended the state government for its huge investment in sports infrastructure and pledged to work hard with all relevant stakeholders to deliver results that will make Edo people proud.
