The Chairman of South/South Zonal Council of Yoruba Traditional Rulers, Oba Suleiman Oluwaloni, has urged non indigenes, particularly those from the Yoruba extraction residing in the states in the South/South geo-political zone of the country to continue to be law abiding while going about their day to day activities even as political activities ahead of 2027 general elections gather momentum.
Oba Suleiman Oluwaloni, who stated this while chatting with newsmen in Yenagoa, further reiterated that meaningful human and societal development can only take place in an atmosphere devoid of rancour and acrimony, appealing to them to only engage in activities that uphold equity and justice.
The monarch noted that the council of traditional rulers for non-indigenes which cut across Rivers, Delta, Bayelsa, Edo and Cross-Rivers states will soon converge to chart a way forward, particularly as regards attaching significant importance to the principles of justice, peace and fair play in their various endeavours in the zone.
Oba Oluwaloni, who got the best traditional ruler award in the 2022 edition of the Bayelsa Media Network Awards, congratulated Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri on the occasion of the 6th anniversary of his prosperity administration, noting that the numerous landmark achievements in the last six years and the peaceful atmosphere in the state are worthy of commendation.
