Man docked for alleged forceful entry of a property, malicious damage

A man, Charles Amadasun, was on Wednesday, April 28th, 2021, docked at the Oredo Magistrate Court 1 one two count charges of forcefully entering a property and malicious damage.

On count one, Amadasun was accused of forcibly entering a property of one Pastor Fanstin Uwaibi situated at 23 Ihama Road, GRA, Benin on April 18th, 2021 with intent to erect a building.

By this action the court stated that Amadasun committed an offence punishable under section 81 of the criminal code cap 48 vol. 11 laws of the defunct Bendel State of Nigeria 1976 as applicable in Edo State.

On the second count, Amadasun was accused of maliciously damaging asphlat laying of car park of the building.

However, a reprieve came the way of the accused as the case was adjourned to May 31st, 2021, and he was granted bail to the tune of N70,000 plus one surety in like terms.
