The Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has graciously approved the agelong reward of the plots of land promised victorious players and officials of 3SC 1998 set by the state government.
You will recall that 3SC won the Nigeria Premier League as Champion and the WAFU Cup which is the only continental cup won for the country and making it double in 1998. Because of the great achievements, Oyo State Military Administrator, Compol Amen Oyakhire, made a pronouncement of cash reward of ₦1million and a plot of land for each of the players and the officials.
After 27 years of waiting Governor Seyi Makinde put smiles on the faces of the entire team by approving the lands for which previous governors could not achieve.
The players, officials and management of the club under the Chairmanship of late Bode Oyewole were happy and grateful to Engr. Makinde who believes in hardwork, excellence, commitment, and dedication especially for those that serve Oyo State meritoriously.
The Governor has taken the bull by the horn thereby investigating the cause of delay and finally approved the lands for the warriors that made the state and our beloved country proud in 1998.
