Chairman of the Edo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Festus Alenkhe, extended the celebration of his mum, Madam Rose Akuogbe Alenkhe to the Council’s Secretariat on Monday, December 12th, 2022, a day after the Thanksgiving Mass held at the St. Paul Catholic Church situated on Airport Road, Benin signifying a close of the funeral activities.
Media practitioners, their friends, associates and family members who witnessed the day time ‘party after party’ had a coterie of choice drinks spiced with delicious meals to go with it.
Everyone had so much to drink, eat and even take home during the groovy time even as the DJ dished out a mixture of top selling modern day and old school hit songs to the delight of all sundry.
It was an all day affair with many attesting to the fact that for as long as the Council existed such an occasion has never been witnessed.
