As Le Patriot Hotel, an upscale hospitality facility situated off Ugbor Road, Benin City gets set for a first of its kind freaky party, CEO of the company, Chief Patrick Osagie Eholor (aka Ultimate Equals), has promised funseekers that they stand to have a memorable outing the type not common in this part of the world.
According to the rights activist, “I came into the hospitality sector about three years ago when I came up with the Le Patriot Hotel in Thomas Estate, Ajah, Lagos, next door to the Dorin Hospital. Then about a year ago I established an arm of the hotel by Izegbuwa Crescent, off Omogiate Street, First Ugbor, Benin City.
“We are still trying to put things together. In order to let people know that this is a home away from home we decided to do a large freaky pool party. It is coming up on Sunday, April 9th, 2023. Funseekers should come expecting to see the best in music, dance, talent exposure, dining etc.
“I have traveled the length and breadth of the globe to have cruise so I know what it takes to organize a party. I have been to Carribean countries as a tourist and seen the best of entertainment on display. I don’t want to let the cat out of the bag yet but those coming for the party should be rest assured that they will have good opportunity to network for business and the likes as the who-is-who are being expected.
“There are going to be guys who can roll. Don’t forget that ultimate Equals is in the groove. I am very certain that the party will end up successful because I have the midas touch and everything I touch turns to gold.
“Hospitality is booming in Benin because the city is much like a transit point for most people. When our brothers from the South East are travelling to Lagos they pass through here. So also others from the neighbouring states of the Niger Delta region. Benin is the heartbeat of the nation. Benin people are very accommodating. We’re very friendly. That’s why people love to have a good time here most weekends.
“Most times hotels are fully booked in Benin. But recently because of the cash crunch and the increase charges of POS madness plus Emefiele irrational decisions business has been affected. Business is now slow.
“The increase in the pump price of petroleum and diesel is also not helping. Diesel is about N800 per litre. Fuel is sold for N190 per litre in Lagos but because some top officials of the Edo State Government have interest in petrol stations fuel still sells for about N270 per litre in Benin.”
Going further, he charged government to give support to the hospitality sector just as it is obtainable overseas.
“There is virtually no government support in the things we do in Nigeria especially in the hospitality sector. We are more like buffalo soldiers fighting for survival. If you go to Canada or the Carribean if you are in business their government assist you. In some cases you can even access loan.”
