Lawmaker facilitates free JAMB registration for 300 students

The lawmaker representing Orhionmwon South Constituency, in Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Bright Iyamu, have organised a free JAMB registration for 300 indigent students from the constituency.

The initiative commenced last year with over 200 participants. This year’s programme continues the lawmaker’s commitment to improving educational opportunities for indigent students.

During the event, Hon. Iyamu encouraged the students to prioritize their academic pursuits, stating, “Education is vital. I urge each of you to take your studies seriously and remain focused in all your endeavors.”

He added, “my aspiration is to see every indigent student in Orhionmwon excel academically, and I will do my utmost best to support their success. I want you all to take this registration process serious, do not just pick the form, then when it is time for the exam you don’t turn up.

“I want to step-up the level of Education in our consistuency. You all are leaders of tomorrow the best way I can impact on you all is through this free JAMB registration. Tomorrow, I will be very excited to see you excelling in all your choosen career.  I know Orhionmwon will be greater and brighter.” 

Some of the beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the initiative even as they thanked Hon. Iyamu “for this year  opportunity to write our JAMB” adding that they are eternally grateful even as they promised to make him proud.

Stakeholders, who were in attendance, appreciated the lawmaker for his kind gesture and sue for the sustenance of the annual free JAMB registration. 

The registration and data capture process was successfully completed at the JAMB CBT Center in New Benin, this marking another milestone in the continuous support for the educational advancement of Orhionmwon’s youth.

This proactive move by Hon. Iyamu reinforces the critical role of leaders in providing equitable educational opportunities and empowering the next generation through initiatives that address both academic and socio-economic challenges.
