Just In: Shaibu’s security post demolished

As you’re reading this piece some characters believe to be hirelings of the Edo State Government have massed up in front of the private residence of the erstwhile deputy governor of the state, Comrade Philip Shaibu, with the mission to destroy the makeshift security post in front of the house. 

Onlookers and passersby on the street, which is by the Benin Golf Course, are said to be held spellbound, bewildered as the demolition squad commenced its unholy assignment. 

It would be recalled that Comrade Shaibu was on Monday, April 8th, hurriedly impeached by the members of the state house of assembly hours ahead of the time a Abuja High Court was to give a ruling on the propriety of the action. His replacement, Marvelous Omobayo Godwins, was also hurriedly sworn in by Governor Godwin Obaseki few hours after the house of assembly carried out its action.
