Just In: NFF AGA/Elective Congress venue shrouded in secrecy

Information relating to the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) Annual General Assembly (AGA) and Elective Congress slated to be held today(Friday, September 30th, 2022) in Benin City, the capital of Edo State seems shrouded in confusion.

As at early Thursday afternoon a court ruling had put the event on hold until another court ruling, a superior one, gave the nod for the event to go ahead later in the evening.

But in as much as the court has ruled that the organisers should go on with their plans the venue of the show has been shrouded in top secrecy with interested stakeholders, media and the likes been kept in the dark on which venue among the many available in Benin would host the participants.

As at the last check two hotels and even the Edo State Government House are said to be likely venues to be used. The delegates for the programme are said to be accommodated three locations.

Some are reportedly lodged in Prestige Hotel situated at the Airport Road a walking distance from the Benin Airport. Another set of delegates are said to be lodged at Heritage Hotel in the Government Reserved Area(GRA) axis of Benin. While the third batch of delegates are reportedly lodged inside the Government House.

As you read this it is mum from many as nobody can guarantee the time or the venue of the Congress where ten contestants will be vying to succeed Pinnick Amaju who is leaving after spending eight years in office as President.
