IPMAN appoints Bello Bina as State Chairman/Coordinator in Bayelsa State

Hon. Bello Bina has been appointed as the Bayelsa State Command Chairman/Coordinator of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) Surveillance/Intelligence sharing and monitoring taskforce on pipeline vandalism, product adulteration, smuggling, crude oil theft and all other unwholesome activities in the oil and gas sector.

The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has approved the establishment of State Steering Committee and appointed Hon. Bello Bina as Chairman/Coordinator of the Bayelsa State Command.

While inaugurating Hon. Bello Bina as the chairman of Bayelsa State Command in Abuja, the National President of IPMAN, Elder Chinedu Okoronkwo, charged him to work in accordance with the mandate given to IPMAN by the President Of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to Elder Chinedu Okoronkwo, “this appointment is in line with the mandate given to the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) by His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, to checkmate all unwholesome activities in the oil and Gas Sector of the economy.

“You are to recommend other key members of the Steering Committee for appointment and liaise with the National President and the security frameworks in Bayelsa State for proper coordination and synergy for the protection of oil and gas facilities in the state.

“The message is very clear, that business is very old and they should embrace the new approach by the Federal Government of leaving the pipelines and getting involved in modular refineries by putting themselves into cluster, that way government can now come in and put up the modular refineries for them.”

Alhaji Danladi Pasali, the National Secretary, told newsmen in Abuja after presenting the appointment letter to Hon. Bello Bina as IPMAN Chairman/Coordinator of the Bayelsa State Command that he is warning vandals and other criminal minded people to desist from such nefarious acts or face the full wrath of the law while urging the state chairman to deliver on his mandate and carry everyone along in the course of the discharge of his duties.

In his words thus: “Bello Bina is someone that has the experience in the oil and gas sector and we believe that he’s going to deliver on the mandate given to him.

“What we are urging him is to make sure that all those vandals and people that are also collaborating with anti-Pipeline and all other unwholesome activities in the downstream oil and gas sector should also be checkmated by itself and others.

“We also pray for him to carry every other member along because in every organization, carrying people along will bring more sanity and peace.”

The appointment of Hon. Bello Bina for five years tenure takes immediate effect.
