I will bring out the best in my staff, says MD Federal Neuro Pyschiatric Hospital, Uselu

The newly appointed Medical Director/Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) of the Federal Neuro Psychiatric Hospital, Uselu, Dr. Imafidon Agbonile, has stated that his vision to take the facility to the next level would revolve around reinvigorating staff motivation so as to bring out the best in them as well as innovate with latest technology in the medical field, adding his primary concerns is to expand the frontiers of psychiatry research, training and management in the country.

Dr. Agbonile added that he has also set for himself the vision of  transforming the fortunes of the hospital and bringing it at par with it’s peers in other parts of the world.

A confident looking Dr. Agbonile, a staff member of the hospital for the past 20 years, sounded much as one who knows his onion as he unveiled his transformation plans to revitalise the hospital. His appointment incidentally was approved on the same day the country celebrated her 60th lndependence anniversary.

As an insider with more than a fair knowledge of the myriad of problems confronting the hospital, Dr. Agbonile is expected to use his vast competencies in the areas of medical management and research to make sure the hospital further improves its status amongst its peers.

In his first media chat since his appointment, an optimistic Dr. Agbonile acknowledged that  there were indeed huge obstacles on the  path to recovery but was quick to note that the identified obstacles are  surmountable with the  right attitude and work ethics.

He assured that his management style would not antagonise the hospital staff but would rather seek for more effective techniques to bring out the best in them while repositioning the hospital for better health service delivery.
