The Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers(NIESV) has disclosed its intention to contribute its quota in harnessing the wealth of the country in line with President Bola Tinubu’s 2024 budget dream of achieving trillion dollars GDP.
Johnbull Amayaevbo, President and Chairman of the Council of the NIESV, made the disclosure on the third day of the 54th edition of its Annual Conference holding at Cathelea Convention and Events Centre in Benin City, the Edo State capital.
Speaking with reporters on the sideline of the conference, Amayaevbo said: “If you listen to the President when he was presenting his 2024 budget proposal to the National Assembly (NASS) this(achieving a trillion dollars GDP) was one of the main trust in that budget.
“We, as Estate Surveyors and Valuers, believe that we can harness the wealth of our land beyond that. We won’t just be talking about a trillion dollars GDP we will be talking about trillions of dollars GDP. That’s why we have brought all the experts here.Â
“At the end of the day, a communique will be issued which we believe will assist the federal and state governments, and all stakeholders to achieve that trillion dollars dream that we are all aiming for. We have also invited some international people for the Conference.”
The Conference, which has a large number of members of the body across the country and visitors from outside the country in attendance, commenced on Monday, April 15th and will be coming to an end on Saturday, April 20th.
