A group, Egbema Youth Political Forum (EGYPF), has praised Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, “for governing the State in the right direction.”
In a statement co-signed by Barrister Ebigba Stephen Baidi, its Chairman; Comrade Karina E. Yoroki,
Secretary and Barrister Ebiterigha Divine Ejemi, Spokesman, the group stated: “it is on record that through your relentless efforts and influence as the executive governor of our dear Edo State, that our own daughter from Ofunama Ward, Hon. Blessing Perewari is now occupying the position of Vice-Chairman in the Ovia South West Local Government Area, Edo State.
“This is a dream come true for the good people of Ofunama Ward. It is with great pleasure we received the good news that the Udo-Ofunama Road project which was considered abandoned is no longer an abandoned project.
“It is a thing of joy to see that the project is currently ongoing with the hope of its completion as designed in demonstration of good governance and by way of sharing the dividends of democracy to the good people of Ofunama ward and other communities under Ofunama ward in Egbema Kingdom.
“It is our earnest prayer on behalf of the good people of Egbema Kingdom that it will be a completed project as designed. Today, we look back with pride and gratitude to your good governance on the momentous achievements most especially the ongoing construction of Udo-Ofunama Road for the good people of Ofunama ward and Egbema Kingdom at large.
“It is an undisputable fact that the completion of the Udo-Ofunama Road will mark a historic milestone in the annals of infrastructural development the good governance you promised the people of Ofunama ward and Egbema at large.”
Going further, the statement said that the governor have shown maturity, adding that “it is evidenced that you are more or less a father to us in Egbema Kingdom most especially, the good people of Ofunama Ward and the Ijaws in Edo State at large.”
According to the group, “it is an undeniable fact that you have demonstrated good governance to us as a people.”
Summing it up, they averred that they have eminently qualified persons to occupy any political office while further appealing that more social amenities such as health centers, higher institution, borehole and other useful projects be provided for the communities.
